uploading a video
Still in Maine ... just experimenting with uploading a video. Not much movement, but turn up the volume and you'll hear the bird singing

Obviously this isn't Israel -- It's Bar Harbor, ME. I'm just experimenting with uploading an image from my camera.
Self-Service Blogging
I just had my first look at the blog that Stan set up! It's great!! He and I just got off the phone from talking about how we can use the blog to record our thoughts about the trip without causing a maintenance burden for anyone.
We think the key here is for blogging to be self-service: no one should expect anyone else to be their tech support for blogging. If you know how to use a web browser, you should easily be able to get to the blog and create your own entry. It's really just like using a very simple word processor. All you have to do is sign in (we all use the same login name, and the link to sign in is at the upper right-hand corner of the page) and click the button to create a post. Which is what I've done for this entry.
There's a whole week to go before we leave, which means plenty of time to practice! If you're unsure of yourself, now's the time to experiment and get comfortable with blogging. That way everyone can enjoy the vacation, and everyone can also record as much or as little of their thoughts and reactions as they want.
